I WOULD AGREE WITH THOSE WHO SAY A LITTLE TALK IS SOMETIMES NECESSARY TO
SIGNAL KEY CHANGES ETC.,BUT DISCUSSING WHAT YOU ARE DOING ON THE W/END AND
OTHER DRIVEL IS A NO-NO. THERE WAS A GREAT BAND IN OZ A FEW YEARS BACK
THAT HAD THREE IN THE FRONT LINE. WHENEVER ONE TOOK A SOLO, THE OTHER TWO
ALWAYS TALKED. THE KENNY BALL BAND WAS /IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOW BANDS
AROUND. WHENEVER THE SOLOIST PLAYS, THE OTHER TWO ON THE FRONT LINE LOOK AT
THE SOLOIST,THUS DIRECTING THE AUDIENCE ATTENTION TO THE SOLOIST. ANOTHER
NO-NO FOR BANDS IS FOR EACH MUSICIAN TAKING A SOLO DURING A VOCALISTS '
NUMBER. THAT KEEPS THE VOCALIST HANGING AROUND FOR FIVE MINUTES TO SING THE
CLOSING CHORUS. LOOKS TERRIBLE FROM THE AUDIENCE. THUS ENDETH THE
LESSON....CHEERS JACK WIARD
