A listmember asked whether the actions of the copyright police in the USA
would affect transmissions from other countries?
With regard to mine - the Hot Jazz Channel at - www.radiojazz.co.uk - we
only broadcast non-copyright - i.e. public domain - music.
This means that we are not liable for royalties on that music.
We also try to ensure that we have the written permission to broadcast from
the copyright owners of all the recorded works we use.
But bear I mind that the copyright laws that apply in Europe are those where
copyright lapses after 50 years.
So - right now it looks as if we will be able to continue.
