Hi Bill. Thanks for the detailed info. I'll definitely buy the CD.

I only took my first dips into the New Orleans Revival corpus when I was
looking for key tunes and "definitive" record versions of them for my
"Dixieland Fake Book Vol. 2". At the time, I was totally focussed on the
lead sheets, not the aesthetics of the records, and I haven't gone back to
the CDs I purchased. So, not to be surprised that I'm not familiar with NO
Revival classics; I'm always glad to get suggestions for more CDs to
buy...

The tape was playing when I entered the session room last night; I enjoyed
"Under the BT", and just sat for a while listening to several more tracks;
since I was familiar with most of the tunes, I could listen more deeply to
the band. I was put off a bit by the relatively primitive audio quality,
but the cumulative effect of the rousing, well-arranged and played music
was to grab my arse.

Your discographical info enabled me to determine that I have 8 of the
Crescent records.
These are on 2 budget CDs: 1. "Kid Ory Creole Classics"
Naxos Jazz Legends series 8.120587, and 2. "Ory's Creole Trombone", same
series, 8.120769. NAXOS is a Canadian label, available from our own Jerry
Brown (not from Worlds Records), that has a large selection of jazz
classics; they are well-transferred from the 78s (not ripped off from
other reissue labels) and the compilations are excellent.

My thanks to all who replied to my post.
