As a rule of thumb, there are, on average, 7 LPs per inch when they're
packed reasonably snugly; i.e., not too loose and not too tight. So 3000
LPs will take up about 428". If you use 12"x12"x6" boxes, you'll need
about 72 of them. It also means that you'll need about 36 feet (~11 m) of
shelf space for them
