Yes indeed, Dave is a "player" as well as a teacher. He subbed for Barbone
Street's regular trumpet two years ago at the 2 day Louis Armstrong Birthday
Bash. Sydney's Jazz Club in Rehoboth Beach DE.
He was superb, easy to get along with for 2 days, and didn't turn a hair
when I told him I had invited two 30 year old swing dancers (beautiful
ladies) to share our band condo over the weekend. :-) VBG
The rest of the guys were staying at the drummer's beach house. Not to worry
though, there were 2 bedrooms and so the two ladies shared one while Dave
and I shared the other.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Cheers,
Steve Barbone
PS. His brother Scott isn't a bad reed man either. :-) VBG.
