Hello Hans,
I heard them more than once, in Breda, including the Lunceford tribute
mentioned in my previous correspondence on this subject.
Cheers

I found, Marek, an extensive discography from the Beau Hunks:

They are really great. I do have most of their recordings and heard them
playing live ( as the Paul Whiteman's Saxophone Soctette)
Monty Alexander- Facets:

Keep swinging

Hello,
No, I don't know the band in question. My knowledge of European jazz comes
mainly from the jazz festivals I've attended - in the UK, Holland, France
and Poland (once - in 2003). Plus, I'm not interested in post-bop stuff
(Ilisten to Diz, Bird, Teryy - but don't tell anybody).
Cheers

Marek -- At last, somebody else who has heard of the Beau Hunks! Those guys
are terrific. And I am sure you know all about the Janne Errsson Big Band,
which just blows me away in all senses of the word! Definitely there is
great jazz in Europe, and maybe somebody there will be in the Middle East,
who knows? Looks like Elazar is making great progress with the Ministry of
Jazz. But I'd prefer something more colorful, like the Dead Sea Falafel
Stompers. Get some horns together and take it with my blessing! :)
Shalom,
David
