Ah yes!! the proverbial Pub owners and purveyors of alcohol
beverages, it's always about the BOOZE with them lads.

Just one of the many reasons I don't play them anymore, The Band is
Too Loud, The Band is playing too many fast songs, Too many slow songs,
Take longer breaks and get those damned dancers off the dance floor so
they can buy more drinks. The next night, there are not dancers here
tonight you guys ran them all away last night taking such long breaks.
Don't invite your musician friends here they bring their own bottles
and don't buy drinks, and your dancer friends come in here and buy one
damned coca cola and sip it all night long.

I am running a business here and it just isn't profitable with a band
get out.

Cheers, and blessing upon those of you who still work these kind of
joints.

On the rare occasion that I might sit in in one of them I reserve the
right to tell the pub owner or manager where to go if he does not like
what the band is playing then he can damned well play for his boozers
himself, I don't come behind his bar and pour his drinks or tell him
how to do it either, and I would appreciate it if he stays the hell
away from Our stage and lets us do a professional job for his clientele
as it really is all about THEM and not him no matter how much he thinks
it is.

Ya see guys and gals most of the wrong folks own the bars these days
and many of the wrong ones did a long time ago too.

The sooner ya'll learn to get out of the alcoholic beverage business
and into the Real ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS THE BETTER OFF AND HAPPIER YOU
WILL BE PLAYING MUSIC.

Cheers,

Tom "It's always the bands fault when business isn't good" Wiggins

   Dear David,
More speed than haste, as usual.
The last bit of the last line should have read '.......the patrons
didn't
buy booze while we were playing.'
Kind regards,
Bill.
