100th Anniversary for Jazz? 2010 is as good as any.

Because it was in 1910 that Oscar "Papa Celestin formed The Original Tuxedo
Orchestra and/or Jazz Band in New Orleans. With Jimmie Noone and Johnny St
Cyr and John Lindsay (bass). The Ghost band is still active and as such, the
longest continually running jazz band in the world.

Sounds like a perfect centennial to me.
