Any appreciative audience is valued, but when you least suspect it . . .
It's even better.

Played for a great group of kids at Vassar College and afterwards, having a
beer with one of the older (21+ and legal) students, I cherished this
accolade, "You know? That was a lot better than I thought it was going to
be."

Our experience, also, over here in Madrid.  Then, you get the girl like last
nite that said before we started "hi, I'm from New Orleans", then sat down
in front & talked the whole set!
I was going to dedicate New Orleans to her, then decided not to bother!!!
