Just got my ION turntable from ThinkGeek.  Thanks to whomever it was that
provided that link.  $110.46 including UPS delivery.  It connects to a PC
[or Mac for the Apple-Afflicted] by USB, and includes Audacity recording and
editing software.  It was a very simple setup and software install.
Instructions are very clear.  I recorded one track of a 33rpm and tried
saving as an MP3, but the software called for a separate free .dll file
which I Googled for, downloaded and placed in the Audacity folder.  It made
a perfect copy after that.  I also tried the editing features to eliminate a
pop on the track and that worked well also.

The turntable also has RCA plugs to use with a conventional audio system.

I'm very pleased with it so far and will be glad to finally get my vinyl
preserved.
