Hello Carol:

Just google search for <Lorenzo Tio Jr> and you will find a wealth of
information about the Tio Family who were of mixed Mexican and Creole
ancestry. They are legendary, or should be, as just about every OKOM
clarinet player today should be able to trace some of how and what we play
back to the Tio's. Pay particular attention to the article in Jim Cullum's
Riverwalk site. It is a wonderful synopsis. See:
