Mike and Listmates,

I too heard this week's "Riverwalk." I don't recall ever hearing a better example of "top notch" players at the very "peak of their powers." Wow!

Mike Pittsley was on trombone at the time, and I didn't get whether it was Ron Hockett on clarinet or not. Anyway- the interplay was absolutely fantastic. One number especially "knocked me out" , it was "Once In A while." Not the ballad, but the Armstrong favorite. Amazing music!

I was so impressed I immediately sent the link out to all the music lovers in my address book.

  Trombonist

Don't miss this week's Riverwalk (www.riverwalk.org). It's a (blessed)
repeat of the show on Satchmo that includes excerpts from his writings.
  I
recorded it (for my own personal use) back in '05, and stupidly left my
Outlook mail on, so every now and then there'd be that damned "dong!"
telling me there was mail. Unfortunately, I didn't realise this until
 I was
listening to it later. Now,
