One of the most interesting uniform ideas came from the late great banjo 
player, Dave Cotter.  Dave was the leader of the B-Naturals, whose gigs were 
all at naturalist resorts.  The uniform of choice was simply a bow tie, to 
distiguish them from the regular members when they weren't playing.  Nothing 
more, nothing less.
