For those interested in the jazz tunes from 1917 to 1954 that hit the top
spots on the Billboard popular music charts go to:

http://www.membran.net/db_php_eng/?action=list&command=selectCategory&compon
ent=categoryTree&categoryId=4538a44c75466

NOTE: Make sure you paste the entire website into your browser.

You will then come up with pages showing each album. Click on the album and
you will get a composer list. Click on the composer and you will get a song
list by track.

Lots of work, but there are 2100 or so songs there. (some duplicates) Bless
the activist Germans for coming up with a collection like this on CD.

You can also use the early songs royalty free. (if published before 1/1/23)
to thwart the Grinches from ASCAP and BMI. :-) VBG.

Cheers,
Steve Barbone
