[Dixielandjazz] I just had a moment.

Being OKOM-related, you'll all forgive an aging jazzPriest his "moment",
I hope.

Earlier this evening I remembered that it was this month, 13 years ago
that I was rummaging around the back room of an El Centro, CA, antique
store (for those who know, El Centro in September is NOT a time to be
buried in the back room of ANYTHING, much less an un-air-conditioned
antique store), and came across a 78 of someone I'd recently seen an ad
about for a Good Time Jazz Complete Set, etc. The disc was the white
label 1942 Jazz Man Lu Watters' "Tiger Rag"/"Come Back Sweet Papa". By
the time I'd heard the first, not to mention the second, side, I was a
baptised, dyed-in-the-wool, OKOMer, for good or ill.

Tonight, in memory of that moment, I cranked (sic) up the aul'
Audiotronics 300A, and listened to same (followed, for the halibut, with
Bix's 1936 Brunswick first issue of "Margie"). Gladly, I was
scotch-in-hand for the moment.

Begging forgiveness for all that I'm so thankful for, etc,
