Dear Dave,
What a great Noble Sissle clip. Definitely MKOM.
"Little White Lies" and "Happy Feet" were composed in 1930.
Noble Sissle was at Ciro's in London in late 1930.
His orchestra recorded in London on 11 Dec 1930 with Noble Sissle, ldr;
Arthur Briggs, Tommy Ladnier, t; Billy Burns, tb; Frank "Big Boy" Goodie,
Rudy Jackson, Ralph Duquesne, cl/ss/as; Ramon Usera, cl/ts; Lloyd Pinckney,
p; Frank Ethridge, bj; Edward Coles, tu; Jack Carter, d.
The clip has 2t, tb, 3 reeds, p, bj, tu & d with vocals by Noble Sissle and
the drummer with tap dancing by the tuba player.
Should we draw any conclusions?
We need photographs of the band at this time.
Kind regards,
Bill.
