For those on the West Coast who have listened to and played with Dave  
Cotter in many bands over the years - his son Dan reports that he has  
gone thru emergency surgery for a brain tumor but is not doing well.  
He is recovering at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.  He can't take  
phone calls at this time.  I don't know about visits.

prognosis is not good...
