Dave, I don't think so. I think Steve is still harping on the fact that
most of the older OKOM musicians still feel that young people do not like
OKOM & ignore the younger kids.

Dave,

Through the years Sacramento has added many types of music including bands
that appeal to the younger people. If you were in Old Sacramento at 10:00
PM Sat night during the Jubilee, you know what I mean.

We are continuing to do so while still having more OKOM bands than any other
festival.

As I understand it, Squirrel Nut Zippers has disbanded. We have tried to
get Big Bad Voodoo Daddy but have not been able to work it out yet. They
were already booked back east for Fri & Sat during the 2007 Jubilee. We
could have flown them in for Sunday night but it would have been too
expensive for just one night. Perhaps for 2008.

Yes, we have been a little slow to get going on the young, big name Swing
Bands but that was due to our previous management. I am sure you know about
that. However, we have a new Exec Director and things are going GREAT! We
are really looking forward to a great Jubilee in 2007.

BTW- We have booked the Rebirth Brass Band for 2007. I saw them in FL last
year & they had the entire crowd on their feet dancing.

The new Jubilee web site, www.sacjazz.com should be up by Nov 1. Keep
watch.
