Dear Friend of Jazz:

Thank you to Black Tuesday Jazz Band, Dixieland Gumbo Internet Radio 
Station, Dr.
Dubious, Gennett Records, Kline Music, Morse Music & Media, Plane Label 
Productions,
and West Coast Ragtime Society for supporting the Trad Jazz Youth Band 
Festival (TJYBF)
 last February.


The Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society (STJS) invites you, too,
 to become a program advertiser for the 2nd annual
Traditional Jazz Youth Band Festival
presented by STJS and Sacramento State Jazz Studies for middle school/junior 
high,
high school, college, and other/trad jazz club-sponsored small ensembles on
Saturday, February 10, 2006.

This all-day event will be held at Capistrano Hall on the Sac State campus.
This year we've added lead sheet clinics and a Friday evening hosted jam 
session.

The $100 festival fee per small ensemble also includes but is not limited to 
an adjudicated
performance, feedback clinic, instrumental and vocal clinics, a noon 
lecture/demo
on the various styles of traditional jazz, an evening showcase concert 
featuring
cornetist Bob Schulz and the Clinicians Band, and admission into the STJS 
Jazz Sunday
concert. Your support as a program advertiser will help keep festival fees 
at this
affordable level for school
 and community
 band directors.

The STJS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to "the preservation 
and
promotion of traditional jazz music" through education and outreach programs 
and
activities.

In appreciation of your donation of $50 to the STJS, we will provide you 
with a business
card-sized ad (b/w) in our festival program.
  The
deadline for festival program ads is December 15, 2006.
