[Dixielandjazz] FW: New Orleans - The 1938 Hoagy recording

Dear friends,
Further to this thread, Brian Harvey has just informed me that "New Orleans"
by Hoagy with Ella Logan and Perry Bodkin's band is on a new Avid group
boxed set of ten CDs titled 'Hoagy Carmichael In Person. 1925-1955. Brian
adds that "This quite brilliant set has a fine booklet by Dick Sudhalter and
a discography."
My copies of the Hoagy Carmichael this 1938 version are on:
*Timeless CBC 1-011 'Hoagy Carmichael. 1927-1939'.
*Retrieval RTR 79021 'Ella Logan, Swingin' Scots Lassie'.
I should also have mentioned a bit of trivia regarding the session which
produced this 18th Oct 1938 recording. Spike Jones was the drummer.
