This from Aldergrove in Canada, a rural community of 5000 people, a little
bit East of Vancouver in the beautiful Frazer Valley. Omer Mahmood, the
organizer of these twice monthly swing dances is a transplanted Pakistani.
Yes indeed, Canada swings.

Bugle Call Rag¹ revives Roaring 20s

Fat City Swing presents Bugle Call Rag, an evening reminiscing the swinging
sounds of the Roaring 20s¹ with live music by Langley¹s very own Tailgate.
This hot, new, Dixieland band will make their Fat City debut on Friday, Nov.
17, so brush up on your Apple Jacks¹ and get ready to dance the night
away.
It all takes place at the West Langley Hall, 9400 - 208 Street. Doors open
at 7:30 p.m., swing dance lesson from 8-9 p.m., and live music and dancing
from 9-11:30 p.m.
Dress up in your favourite vintage attire for a chance to will some fabulous
prizes. In homage to veterans, admission for seniors is only $2. Regular
admission is $12 or $10 for students with a valid ID. This is an - ages
event by Fat City Productions.
