Well thankfully I never heeded their Godly advise and burned my record
collection either, poor misguided well intentioned Bible thumpin' Hell
Fire and Brimstone Preachin' fornicatin' backslidin' hard drinnkin'
whore mongerin' hypocritical phony healers, ELMER GANTRY'S AND Marjoe
Gortner's, Jim Bakkers, Jimmy Swaggerts and now Ted Haggards leadin'
innocent and undereducated folks astray on a daily basis including some
folks in High Places of leadership in our wonderful Country.
Never ! Never! underestimate the absolute Stupidity and innocent
ignorance of the general public. Nor the Power of Persuasion buy some
of the Finest Actors and Entertainers in the So called Civilized World
Folks.
Heck I remember when Brother Oral Roberts in Oklahoma proclaimed that
he had a message direct from the Almighty that he was indeed going to
call him home if his followers did not send him Eight Million Dollars,
Well Hallelujah Bless the Lord they sent him the money and he is still
with us. Yet Another wonderful Prophecy and Miracle wrought right
before our doubting eyes. :))
But I always wondered why a Man that made his living HEALING folks and
accepting grateful offerings and contributions could Possibly ever even
entertain the thought of building and owning one of the largest
Hospitals and medical centers in the USA.
why did Jimmy Swaggert feel the overwhelming need to visit his cousin
Micky Gilly's Country & Western Nightclub in Texas on a regular basis,
and get caught leaving with of all people a Prostitute. Lookin' for
lost souls to Save no doubt.
Oh Hell ya'll see where this is going and it aint gettin' any closer to
OKOM unless like me you me like Good Ole Time Religion Gospel Music
and can enjoy it as a wonderful American Art form and significant
contribution to our world Culture Contributions.
And since I am no doubt Pissing off many of my friends on this great
list with these blasphemous comments, make no mistake about it that
ELVIS PRESLEY Never was the #1 Box Office Attraction in the world,
although he ran a good solid Second to the Rev. Billy Graham.
Praise de Lawd and pass the collection Plate. I shall be elated when
once again this fine Country returns to Separation of Church and State,
our fore founding fathers were very wise men in seeing this scene
coming. Then we can get back to our business of Sin and Debauchery
and making some racy racy music and not being persecuted for having a
good time and dancin' in the STREETS.
Musical content: "Bringin in the Sheep " Baaaaa Baaaaa ! And
Fleecin' the Flock
NOW I HAVE TOLD YA'LL BEFORE THAT A SICK MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO
WASTE, so I refuse to waste mine :))
Yore ole sacreligious buddy Rev. Tom- Bob Wiggins, just tryin' to keep
ya'll entertained a bit.

As Tom has mentioned the Southern Baptists being fearful of sex
standing up leading to dancing, I'll bring up that what is even scarier
than St. Louis' purported crime statistics is some of the decisions and
messages of the Missouri Baptist Conference component of Southern
Baptists meeting in out-state MO this week. (Anyone morbidly curious
can go to >http://www.stltoday.com/< and look up this week's news
entries on Missouri Baptist Conference Meeting. I was Southern Baptist
in out-state Missouri when my church announced it would hold an
alternate party for us so we could stay away from the sinful Senior
Prom. But it was too late for me, I had already seen Elvis on the
sinful TV, sang Rock Around the Clock on the band tour bus, etc. I
went to the Prom.
On getting the young to dance (therefore to come so they can dance),
it is indeed all about the beat, instead of about how many chords and
how splendidly one plays. Easy to see that when an one of our locally
popular Zydeco Bands draws several thousand to an urban park
and keeps 'em jumping all evening on 3 chords, but a good beat, and yes
Bill G., letting the audience come up to rub spoons or whatever on a
chest board, looks mighty like a washboard attraction to me.
