Sad to hear about Jack. I remember an interesting and odd recording session with him in 1985 at the Pizza Express in Soho. I had to collect Al Casey and take him to an evening session in Harlow. Al was recording an album with Wally Fawkes and Ian Christie for Humphrey Lyttelton's Calligraph label. Stan Greig was to double piano and drums and Jack Fallon was the bassist. I had recently made a recording with Wally for Geo. Buck's Jazzology label, which Wally had enjoyed. He asked if I would like to play on several of the tracks. No fee available, but Wally would play a free session for me in Harlow. Of course I jumped at the chance. Humph, sensing a jam session atmosphere was being created, got out his trumpet and joined in. The session was a lot of fun, and could not fail with a rhythm section that included Al Casey, Stan Greig and the solid bass of Jack Fallon.
