One of  my favorite things is a George Girard LP called "Strictly Dixie" on 
which  19-year-old Pete Fountain plays a beautiful version of the verse to Tin  
Roof.

Boy, there was an "unsung hero!"  What a GREAT player George  Girard was.  I 
sure wish I could have heard him live.
