Hi: There are 2 jazz clubs in the Bay Area that I would recommend: 1.
Yoshis, in Jack London Square in Oakland and 2. Jazz at Pearl's in the City.

Here are the web sites: _http://www.yoshis.com/_ (http://www.yoshis.com/)
and

Robben Ford and Bill Frisel are appearing at Yoshis in late May and early
June.

Appearing at Jazz at Pearl's are Houston Person (great blues tenor sax) and
also Allen Smith (equally great on trumpet) with vocalist Kim Nalley.

By the way, Jack London Square is a hidden gem in the east bay. Nestled
alongside the Oakland-Alameda Estuary there is a ferry boat service between the
historic Ferry Building & Fisherman's Wharf in SF, Angel Island and Jack
London Sq. The ferry boat is is a good way to experience the Bay Bridge, Treasure
Island, the SF Waterfront, etc.

Jack London's cabin and the "Last Chance Saloon" which has been serving
thisty folks from the 1890's to the present are among the attractions in Jack
London Square.
