Jazz Acts Scheduled for Bonnaroo 2006 May 9, 2006 By: Evan Haga

For free-spirited jazz fans not afraid to camp or dab on some patchouli in
place of a shower, the 2006 Bonnaroo Music & Arts festival offers a decent
lineup of jazz and jazz-oriented acts among its mix of jam bands, indie
rock, Americana and Radiohead.

Scheduled June 16-18 on its usual plot in Manchester, TN‹roughly 60 miles
southeast of Nashville and northwest of Chattanooga‹Bonnaroo began in 2002
and has since cemented a reputation as the premier annual American music
festival, booking an eclectic yet discerning roster of acts and succeeding
without commercial advertising.

This year, New Orleans¹ Preservation Hall Jazz Band entertains audiences in
its very own tent, warming up festival crowds a day early on Thursday and
carrying the Dixieland torch through Saturday. The Rebirth Brass Band will
also be on hand to offer its version of traditional Nawlins boogie, as will
the Neville Brothers, Ivan Neville¹s Dumpstaphunk and the Night Tripper
himself, Dr. John. . . remainder snipped
