What better way to celebrate Mozart's 250th & Dresden's 800th Birthdays then
with 40 Dixieland Bands in Theater Square during their jazz festival?
Cheers,

Rebirth Of A Destroyed City Gabe Levenson - Travel Writer
Flattened by Allied bombs in 1945, flooded by the river Elbe in the 60s and
rebuilt in the past decade, the German city of Dresden celebrates its 800th
birthday this year, and visitors these coming months may find it hard to
tell what¹s old and what¹s new.
With completion of work on the Frauenkirche, the Protestant church dome once
more dominates the magnificent Baroque skyline, just as it did before World
War II. Frauenkirche¹s extraordinary acoustics will once again accommodate
Bach¹s organ music and the Requiem of Mozart whose 250th birthday will be
widely celebrated this year throughout Germany and his native Austria. And
the venerable Theater Square will be swinging to the syncopation of 40
Dixieland bands. . . . snipped for brevity
