Cees is quite right with his warning: don't throw away your old LPs, tapes, 
cassettes!!
I've experienced several times now that CDs that I burned a few years ago 
were so much damaged that I couldn't make CD copies of them anymore. And 
playing them is either impossible or gives a lot of surface noise (crackling 
etc.).
I don't know what's the cause, but it happens now and then!
