[Dixielandjazz] Technique vs. Feeling

Hi All,

This post was particularly interesting for me because when I say to a person 
I love that an
amateur musician will  n e v e r   be able to play as well as a 
professional,
the answer is that a professional may not have the feeling an amateur has
and thus sometimes an amateur might be more appreciated.

What is the test for saying what is better between good technique and 
average feeling vi-a-vis
avearge technique and good feeling ¨!
