Picasso's Daughter Says Drawing Is a Fake

Maya Widmaier-Picasso, a daughter of Picasso who authenticates works
attributed to him, said yesterday in Paris that a $40,000 drawing purchased
by a California man through Costco last year was a fake.

Brings to mind a thread of several years ago about " What is Art?"

Some thought a copy of visual art (e.g. Picasso copy) and/or music (e.g. a
reproduction of say King Oliver) was still Art and some did not.

We got hung up on the question of "What if the audience couldn't tell the
difference as to originality or not?"

Certainly the buyer above couldn't tell the difference.
