Sorry, but I once played at Inner Harbor at Phillips in Baltimore, the gig
was SUPPOSED to go from 1 to 5... Well, snow started falling and at 4, I
got a call from the boss, telling me the guy following me couldn't get out
of his driveway and could I play the next shift from 5 to 9? I said yes,
being younger and greedier and played the 5 to 9 shift and, THEN he called
me back about 8 and said the NEXT guy couldn't make it - could I play the
last shift from 9 to 1 - YES, friends, 12 hours of piano and vocals, and I
was a SINGLE - no one to help me out or take a chorus! (My voice left
about 12 and the next day for the only time in my life, yes, my fingertips
HURT!!!) I still get shivers thinking about that experience!
All the Best,
Steve Heist
