Bands that played on the old Paramont stage in Bangor, Maine years ago  
played behind a metal screen similar to those used in front of stores in   inner 
city locations. It was accepted practice for the drunken lumberjacks to  hurl 
empty bottles at the band for entertainment. 
 
You didn't have to "warm up the crowd" as they came with their own  heat!
