Jim O'Briant and others who stated that the band that oozes fun onstage  will 
have a good audience reaction is correct. 
I have never forgotten the one performance I heard of the New Black  Eagles 
many years ago
in Bangor, Maine. The banjoist sat in front of the band, conspicuously  
displaying one red sock and one green one. The tuba player not only held down  the 
bass part on 'Egyptian Fantasy" but played finger cymbals in a wide arc  over 
his head at the same time! Corny? Maybe, but the audience loved it, and  
that's what counted. Sure made an impression on me.
