Gary Kiser writes, regarding the Turk At Carnegie concert:

 > Wow, am I out of the loop. I didn't know the concert was recorded. I
> went with Richard Miller and Danny Levinson. We were on the stage behind
> the bands so we had to enter by the stage entrance.
 (snip)

I, along with my daughter Molly, was also on the stage behind the band. But
the sound from that location was so bad. All we could hear was the rhythm
section with the horns bouncing off of the back wall.

After the intermission, Jim Cullum took us to his box where we saw the rest
of the concert from out front.

What an experience!

Since the time I was 15 years old & first saw the film The Benny Goodman
Story, & bought the Carnegie Hall LPs, I had wished that I could have been
there that night.

When Jim Cullum & Juanita Greenwood put the Turk concert together, I said,
"There is no way I am going to miss this one."
