John Booth and Brian Harvey are pleased to announce that the latest edition
of their record-breaking Hot Jazz Channel non-commercial radio show will go
'live' around July 1st at www.radiojazz.co.uk
We hope that you will tune in and enjoy the music much of which has never
before been broadcast.
The eighty three minute July-August programme is a unique mix of both
classic and new international jazz.
Featured this month are Australia's New Melbourne Jazz Band, Sweden's New
Orleans Delight with Marilyn Keller and Derek Winters, the United States Jim
Cullum Jazz Band with Duke Heitger, Buck Clayton, Lee Collins with Ralph
Sutton, Billie Holiday, Sweet Emma the Bell Gal and her Dixieland Hall Band
recorded live in New Orleans, Gregg Stafford, Japan's Yoshio Toyama with Don
Ewell, France's Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, the Circus Square
Jazz Band from Holland, England's Mart Rodger Manchester Jazz - Gambit
Jazzmen - Steve Lane's Southern Stompers - Spats Langham and Humphrey
Lyttelton.
The programme also includes an except from a unique recording of the first
ever jam session to be broadcast from New York to England. This dates from
1938 and features - among others - Fats Waller, Mezz Mezzrow, Sidney Bechet,
Max Kaminsky, George Wettling, Joe Marsala, Bobby Hackett and Bud Freeman.
