(*)  It's light.  You don't need all that weight behind your head that goes
with the (what seems to be in style these days) F attachment.  
It's well balanced.
It has a great slide.
It has a cutting sharp sound, to blast your way out past all the noise the
clarinet & trumpeter are making!
