And there have been professional Music Therapists around since WW II when  
professionals entertaining in Veterans facilities taught the world once again  
that the right music for the right individual at the right time contributes to  
healing.  But would the average MD take a look at the research in the music  
therapy literature as part of their decision-making process?  Actually  those 
of you who pay attention to audience response and alter your music  
accordingly probably are more effective in providing music that facilitates  function 
than what is happening in many OR's, hospital hall ways, etc.
