When I was young we used to call everything old Mickey Mouse music. Hence
the name Mickey band. I have since come to respect the music and musicians
that played it a whole lot more. A lot of that stuff was pretty difficult
to play.

I have been playing with a "new" band that has a very old book. The band's
name is "So Rare" and has a "Mickey" book from the 30's. Most of it is very
old and tattered. Kind of like me.

I would have never thought that a band like this could even think about
booking in the St. Louis area but the guy is doing it.
