Applications are now being accepted for the 2nd annual Trad. Jazz Youth Band 
Festival
set for Sat., Feb. 10, 2007 at Sac. State with featured clinician Bob

Q: Many years before Louis Armstrong, the first "King" of cornet in New 
Orleans was
Charles "_____" ______. He is generally considered to be the first 
bandleader to
play the __________ music known as jazz.
Famous for his loud, clear tone, he started the Bolden Band around 1895, 
performing
in New Orleans parades and dances. Bolden made no recordings but was 
immortalized
in the Jazz standard, "_____ _______ _____," which is based on Bolden's 
theme song,
"_____ ____."
