David, would like to include "What's the use" too?

My reply:

I remember, when I was in high school in the early 50s, seeing
Eartha Kitt in Boston on stage, singing a song with this name, in
a show called "New Faces of 1953", (and I am uncertain about the
date -- could have been 1952). But it was one helluva show that
I will never forget.

Is the tune Dick is talking about the same one, or some other,
earlier one?
