My trombone has five moving parts, viz:
the slide, the spit-valve, the tuning slide, the slide lock, and the 
connection between the slide pistons and the bell part. Four of these have a 
habit of moving,or of having been moved, when I don't want them to move. The 
fifth part moves when I want it to, but infallibly into the wrong position. 
And you say this is simple ... !
