Now, technically, Bob, the trombone has 5 moving parts, if you count in
addition to the slide:

* the slide lock (very important to know when and how to use it!)
* the water key
* the tuning slide (both important and redundant on a bone because, how do
you know when the thing is in tune, anyway?)
* the nut that holds the two parts of the horn together

and on horns with F attachment, the trigger, making a total of 6 moving
parts.

So let's not take away from this misunderstood segment of the jazz community
what little respect we already don't get.
