[Dixielandjazz] Goodman Tour update

 Is Dave Brown the one who also plays drums?  One of the trumpet players
looked like one we had watched on the Charley O's webcam. 

The night we saw the performance, the programs didn't arrive, so we didn't
get one.  It was hard to pick up all the names as the players were
introduced.

Jon-Erik continues to impress me with his talent.  He played "I'm Coming
Virginia" and it was wonderful.  Ken invited a local music teacher (from the
Dallas Arts Magnet High School to play a number with the band.  He chose
"A-Train" and it was a jam with Ken, Jon-Erik and one of the trombones.
GREAT!

Overall, we enjoyed the performance.  There were a couple of songs that were
counted off too fast..Don't know if that was by design.  Ken is technically
very good and can play zillions of notes per second, but I would prefer less
notes.  I thought Ken's wife's voice was perfect for the songs of that era.

All in all, there is no substitute for LIVE music, and the sound was superb.
