I liked the idea of a small towel over the bone bell, held close to the mike 
-- I sometimes use my handkerchief fluffed into a pad & held over the bell 
for the same reason.  I don't know about singing thru the horn, but you can 
sing into a bone Harmon mute, holding the mike into but not touching the  
cup, for a Rudy Valee (sp?) megaphone sound.
