I'm no expert, but I have noticed that my U.H.F. cordless microphones  
deliver close to zero feedback. Also my Carvin choir mics are extremely  directional 
therefore therfore there is very little feedback  tendancy. Also reflective 
surfaces like the cab body of a truck or the bell  of a tuba will bounce 
already amplified sound back into a standard model 58 or  57 microphone. Most of my 
mics hare a ball shaped screen on the end. What helped  sometimes was a shield 
I made out of heavy cardboard to prevent sound entering  the mic from the 
back side(and reflecting through the screen bouncing  back to the diaphragm). 
Confused?? Me too sometimes. Maybe Kash can  help.
