[Dixielandjazz] synchronized lawn mower troupe

Hi all,

Steve Barbone asks:

"A synchronized lawn mower troupe?"

If I'm not mistaken (which I usually am) I believe that this is a group
known as the "Lawn Rangers." They love to perform in parades and they get
together on an ad hoc basis to practice their maneuvers.

They wear cowboy hats and masks (like the old "Lone" ranger used to do) and
they're a very popular group.

Membership in the group is highly selective -- generally limited to just
about anybody who shows up and the main function of the Lawn Rangers is
basically to gather and drink beer.

My source for this information is the highly informative and erudite
columnist, Dave Barry, who is also an honorary member of the Lawn Rangers.

The main drawback to the entire enterprise is the lack of a good dixieland
jazz band.

Respectfully submitted,

Bill "Hi Yo Silver!" Gunter
