If anybody cares, the assistant photographer on that shoot, I learned  years 
later, was none other than Steve Frankfurt; the creative notable who  became 
the President of my former-employing advertising agency, Young &  Rubicam, New 
York. Steve was part of a video that played later on PBS (I think)  describing 
how the photo came about, how they got so many greats together at one  time, 
and other interesting details, such as why Dizzy (I think it was him) was  
sitting on the curb talking to some local kids. Perhaps there is a way to get  
that video from PBS if any of you are really interested in the background.
