Hi Pam,

In the fifties we played on the back of a truck and had no amplification. 
There did not appear to be a problem. In fact wherever we played we never 
had any sound system. We played at Ken Colyer's, Chislehurst Caves, Eel Pie 
Island, Cooks Ferry Inn on others on the London circuit ( I just threw those 
names to revive memories for ancient English musicians like what I am.)

I hope it doesn't 'Rain on your Parade'
