Never let it be said the local East Coaster's don't know how to throw a
party. Come on by if you are in the area. It's for a very worthy cause.

An example of what can be done when you get the backing of the City, The
Colleges in the City, The Restaurants in the City plus the Movers and
Shakers there who have influence and money. Can be done anywhere.

We expect about 500 people to be there and perform from 7 to 10 PM. This is
now an annual event.

An Evening of Mardi Gras 2006

For an exciting evening of exceptional New Orleans music, entertainment,
food, fun and more, plan to attend - An Evening of Mardi Gras 2006 - from 7
to 11 p.m. Feb. 25 at Delaware Technical & Community College, Wilmington
Delaware Campus, Third and Orange streets. Festive attire suggested.

Twenty of Wilmington¹s premier restaurants will serve their best New Orleans
cuisine as the top-notch musicians in the Barbone Street Jazz Band entertain
you with music ranging from New Orleans Jazz and Blues to Latin, Gershwin
and Cole Porter. You¹ll enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, coffee, a chocolate
fountain and desserts. In addition to casino-style games of chance, there
will be an ice sculpture competition, a wine tasting and a silent auction.
The ³Preservation Hall² venue will, feature dancing to the New Orleans Jazz
Music of Barbone Street, Mardi Gras beads and lots of excitement.

Proceeds of the Mardi Gras event will go toward a scholarship fund. The fund
is used to offset unmet student financial needs such as tuition, fees,
books, supplies, transportation and child care to give students at the
Stanton/Wilmington Campus the additional support they need to complete their
studies and enter the work force or continue their education.

Free parking is available across the street at the College parking garage,
with on-site security.

Tickets schedule as follows:
$100  Individual admission
$250  Patrons - includes 2 tickets + special recognition.
$500  Benefactor - includes 4 tickets + special recognition + party favors.
$1500 Friend of the Campus includes 6 tickets + + +.
