I heard him play in the 1960s on Capri. Damn good musician. First wife Maria
was a fine looking woman too.

Cheers,

ROME (Reuters) - Romano Mussolini, the last surviving child of Italy's
Fascist wartime dictator Benito Mussolini, died on Friday, his family
said. He was 78.

Mussolini, a renowned jazz pianist who shunned politics, died in a
Rome hospital following recent heart surgery.

"At 2:30 a.m. (1:30 a.m. British time) on Friday ... God called Romano
Mussolini back to him," said an announcement on the web site of the
party founded by his daughter Alessandra, a right-wing
parliamentarian.

The youngest of the five children of Benito and Rachele Mussolini, he
was considered one of Italy's best jazz musicians and often played
with greats such as Chet Baker and Dizzy Gillespie.

In 2004 he published a memoir, "Il Duce, my father," using the Italian
word for 'leader' which his followers called the dictator for 20 years
until he was killed by partisans at the end of World War Two.

Romano Mussolini's first wife, Maria Scicolone -- the mother of
Alessandra Mussolini -- is the sister of actress Sophia Loren.
